Biography

Hasnul Nadzrin Shah is the Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs for IBM Malaysia. His responsibilities include strategic stakeholder engagement, the provision of policy input and insight to government stakeholders on areas of interest to IBM and supporting the business objectives of IBM in Malaysia. He is part of the IBM Malaysia senior leadership team.
He has over 18 years of experience in the I.T. industry working in different roles. Prior to joining IBM in 2013, he spent 7 years in the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) in various leadership roles in the Creative Multimedia Division. At MDeC, he helped formulate the strategies and initiatives that helped get the creative content industry to where it is today. He was also involved in the various labs I the Economic Transformation Program such as the main ETP lab and the Iskandar Corridor Lab.
His career has also spanned multiple technical and management roles in startups such as Asia Online, e1000, Mukmin.com and Innovasia from 1998 to 2005. He is currently involved in the Government Affairs Committee of PIKOM and the IT Industry Committee of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). He attended the Grainger School of Business at the University of Wisconsin at Madison under the Information Systems, Analysis and Design Program. He enjoys military simulation paintball, strategy games and mountain biking..
